I'v been obsessing for months over matching skirt and top sets from the moment I first laid eyes on the shorts and top number on Kirsten Dunst. The appeal lies in the ease of a dress with versatility enough for weeks worth of outfits. Patterned suits, made up of jackets and tailored pants caught my eye but they just didn't really seem like my style. I'm not all that grown up you know. I started seeing these outfits popping up in magazines, Pinterest and on several blogs I love. Now I have to have one, or several even and trying my hand at making my own may be in the cards too.

Thanks! I had those. The one I was missing was the girl in the floral set :)

Oh, the fabric of Kirsten's ensemble is a dream!
ReplyDeleteYep, I've got one and I'm planning on another! I realistically don't wear the pieces separately that much, so more me it's more like another dress, but I love that the potential is always there. That one that Kirsten Dunst is wearing is amaaaazing!
ReplyDeleteomg omg omg SERIOUSLY!? I'm now going to your blog to see if I can spot it (and then copy you)
ReplyDeleteOh my god I love Kirsten's shirt/shorts combo, I died when I first saw it. I love the idea of matching sets -- kinda like a dress that can be taken apart and mixed up with other things. Let us know if you have any success!!
ReplyDeleteI've been loving these too! I want that striped one in my life. They'd all be perfect for spring and summer.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how trends come and go. A few years ago I woulda been like "NO midriff! NO matchy-matchy!" But now I LOVE it! I especially love the old-lady floral prints!
ReplyDeleteFleur d'Elise is hosting a giveaway!
Oh gosh the yellow one from Mr. Newton's blog is /so pretty/!

OMG I LOVE IT! Last time I checked Q's Daydream was on hiatus though. :/
ReplyDeleteI think its backlash from all the print mixing and oversized garments that have been everywhere lately. PS--old lady florals are the absolute best
ReplyDeleteYeah, girl is preggers. Probably she'll never get her winter collection out, which is a pity because the one snap she showed of it looked amaaazing.
